Caribbean Cement Company Limited successfully completed a demolition exercise today and we are pleased to report that our goals were met with no injury or property damage. The plant is undergoing major changes and today Sunday April 24, 2016 the Emission Stacks for Kilns 2 & 3 (old production lines long retired) were demolished. Most operations were briefly halted to facilitate the demolition activity at 7:30am.

Extensive preparation went into the exercise which was carried out by a team of experts. All precautions were taken to ensure the safety of staff, the surrounding community and the motoring public as well as the protection of our facility. This was a team effort that involved coordination with a number of stakeholders including the Security Forces, Private Security Firms, Airports Authority, Technical Experts and Other Government Bodies.

All operations are now back to normal.

This exercise is in keeping with CCCL improved housekeeping thrust that will contribute to a safer and healthier work environment.
