Caribbean Cement Company daily operations are supported by hundreds of suppliers and contractors. Jamaica Gypsum and Quarries, a member of the Caribbean Cement Group of Companies have contracts with a number of companies which provide haulage services. Carib Cement is aware that there is a disagreement between one of our contactors and its employees which led to a peaceful demonstration to the entrance of one of our quarries.
Carib Cement is mindful of the issues being debated by both parties and know that they are not insurmountable.
Carib Cement has and will continue to be a fair and reasonable employer, a responsible Corporate Citizen and a friend to the community. We are committed to continue the various projects we have partnered on, as we continue in building a Greater Jamaica.
All operations remain normal and this has not affected our ability to supply cement to the trade or to our valued customers.
