Alfredo Garza is a seasoned financial executive with deep expertise in finance, energy risk management, investor relations, and corporate strategy. He currently leads strategic initiatives within Cemex’s Transformation Management Office (since July 2025), where he provides financial oversight and assurance for global cost-saving programs impacting over $10 billion in procurement spending. In this role, Alfredo works closely with transformation teams to accelerate the execution of key initiatives and ensure the delivery of measurable, lasting financial outcomes.
Prior to this, Alfredo served as Energy Risk Manager at Cemex, where he was responsible for developing and implementing innovative risk management strategies to mitigate market volatility and strengthen the company’s financial resilience.
Throughout his career, Alfredo has held several leadership roles at Cemex, including Investor Relations Manager (2012–2022) and CFO Chief of Staff (2021), where he played a key role in aligning financial strategies with long-term sustainability goals. His earlier roles include positions in controllership, financial consolidation, and international project management across Germany, the UK, and France, giving him a global perspective on financial operations and governance.
Alfredo holds a Master’s in Finance from EGADE Business School (2008), a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from Tec de Monterrey (2004), and a Certificate in Finance from the University of Queensland, Australia (2003). He is a credential holder from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and a graduate of Cemex’s Thrive Leadership Development Program.
